![]() October 26, 2026Parent Meeting As Canyons works to preserve strong language immersion opportunities amid declining enrollment, the District is establishing enrollment targets and timelines for determining whether schools have enough students to support two first-grade DLI classes or whether a one-class cohort may be necessary.“The goal is to give families both opportunity and predictability,” said Canyons Superintendent Dr. McKay Robinson. “We remain absolutely committed to Dual-Language Immersion and want families to continue applying. At the same time, demographic changes require us to be thoughtful about how we structure these programs so they remain strong and sustainable for years to come.”On Nov. 3rd, Altara invites parents to come to a DLI informational meeting. It will be from 5:00-6:00 in the gym here at Altara. District personnel will be here as we discuss enrollment targets for next year and the process for determining one- or two-class cohorts. 🎃Halloween Parade Information 🎃We will be having our parade outside. Bring your camp chair and line up on the playground. The parade path will be marked so you’ll know where to place your chairs. Please set up on both sides of the marked path. See map below. If you live within walking distance from the school, please consider walking as parking may be limited. We’ll start gathering all the students at 8:45 am and begin heading outside at about approximately 8:55 am.
