If the precipitation is severe students will stay inside and participate in classroom recess/lunch.
Snow/Cold
Most days, students will head outside for snow. The pavement will be plowed and students are allowed to bring snow gear – especially boots. If the temperature reaches below 22º or it is snowing hard, students will stay inside for recess/lunch.
Air Quality
Canyons District adheres to the following guidelines when it comes to air quality in Utah due to fires, inversions, or other air quality concerns.
What should parents do?
Parents, with advice from your health care provider, need to contact the school secretary or nurse if your child is “sensitive” to poor air quality.
Sensitive children may include those with significant or poorly controlled asthma, cystic fibrosis, chronic lung disease, congenital heart disease, compromised immune systems, or other respiratory problems.
Please complete the health care portion on Skyward to help the school be aware of your child’s needs.
