I was born in San Jose California but was not raised there. My father served in the Navy, so I lived in South Carolina, Connecticut, and Hawaii until I was a teenager. Then I lived in Sparks, Nevada for 10 years before I met my husband. I have been married for 39 years. I used to have 5 children – 3 girls and 2 boys. Three of them are married, so I now have 3 more children. I am crazy about my grandchildren and talk about them all of the time. I currently have 4. It will be 5 in January. This is my sixteenth year teaching because I was older when I started teaching. All of my teaching has been at Altara, and most of it has been in 5th grade. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family. I also like birding, gardening, traveling, reading and family history.
