Faculty Spotlight – Senorita Vinuesa

My name is Ana. I’m from Madrid, Spain. I’m a mom to three beautiful daughters that I love dearly. They are the reason I’m in Altara today. I’ve lived in Madrid all my life, until my parents came to work in California for a year, so I actually did my 5th grade in the US. Then went back to Spain and three years later we came back to California for my Sophomore year of high school. I liked it so much that I taught in California for two years as a 3rd grade English and Spanish teacher. That was 1998 through 2000. I went back to Spain and got married in 2002…. I taught English and then coordinated and taught the Bilingual Program in my school from 2010 until 2021, when I moved here with my whole family…. I love reading a good book quietly. Cooking and baking relaxes me so I cook every day at least once!!! When I’m not working I love traveling with my family!!! This summer we went to the east coast and visited 40 States…. Now I’m only lacking Alaska out of all 50 states!!! I know pretty much all of Europe, some countries in Asia,…. I just love traveling… I don’t care where!!! Just give me 30 minutes to pack and I’m out the door!! I love learning, experiencing , and trying new things….. “Just tell me something new and I will try to implement it into my routines and class”.
