Dear Parents,
Be sure to check the Lost and Found for any missing items these next two weeks. We’d love to find the right home for everything! We do check for any names on missing items and return them. On the last day of school, we donate any remaining items to charity.
LandTrust Goals
Each year with our School Community Council and our Building Leadership Team, we set three school goals and use funding from the state LandTrust and TSSP to help us achieve those goals. Here are the goals and the data showing how we did this year. We use Acadience assessments for reading and math benchmarks.
Reading goal: 80% of students achieving benchmark or making typical or better growth this year. We had 79% of our students hitting this mark, super close to meeting our goal.
Math goal: 80% of students achieving benchmark or making typical or better growth this year. We had 81% of our students meet this mark, exceeding our goal!
School Climate goal: 100% of teachers will implement Morning Meetings, utilize Thrive Time curriculum, and focus on building relationships. We had full attainment for this goal!
We are excited about our growth, and appreciate your support. We’ll continue to adjust our efforts to help every student reach their potential.
Choose Kindness
We are on the lookout for any acts of kindness at Altara.

Audrey Angel (2nd grade) Audrey is always kind to everyone and happy. She brought treats for everyone in the class.
William Anderson (2nd grade) William showed kindness to a student who was sad.
