Save the Date for our “Boo Fun Run”:![]() Book Blitz: Altara is so excited to be participating in Book Blitz again this year! Book Blitz Jr. is a fun, interactive competition open to 4th and 5th grade students. The competition is designed to encourage students to read a variety of books over the course of the school year. Students get to help create teams of 4-5 fellow students, who work together to read 12 selected book titles. These teams then compete in a “Jeopardy Style” competition to earn points by naming the correct book title and author related to the question. Teams compete at the school level, and the winning team will advance to the district competition where they compete against teams from other schools. Please watch for a flier with more information to come home in the next week. For questions, parents can contact Jennifer Barney at jenyardley@gmail.com DLI Families: Please see the flyer regarding intending to continue the DLI program for students going into middle school. Please be sure to submit your intent by October 31, 2025. Beanstack Parent Guide: Please see a step by step guide on how to navigate Beanstack to document “Road to Success” reading minutes. School Pick Up Color Zones ![]() On the sidewalk on the east end of the building, we have created colored spaces with tape for students to wait. We are hoping this will help relieve some congestion and give students a place to meet a sibling or carpool friend. It will also help them be more visible to those adults who are picking them up, and the students can see the cars better. The colors are blue, green, yellow, red, orange, and purple. Help your students pick a meeting spot to make picking up a breeze!
