Fundraiser Information

We’re excited to announce a Fun Run on October 17th to help raise funds for our upcoming field trips! We kindly ask families to help us by collecting donations. Contributions can be made by cash, check, or by scanning the QR code provided. Please make checks payable to Altara Elementary.

Every dollar/100% of the proceeds goes to our school and towards making field trips fun and memorable for our students.  Our goal is to raise $10,000!

So far we have raised $472.38! Woohoo!

We have lots of fun activities for each milestone we hit during our fundraiser!

If we reach our goal of $1,000 by this Friday, October 3, 2025 every student will receive their very own Altara headband!

You can send your fundraiser envelope with your child or donate using the QR code below. Thank you for your generosity as we plan for field trip experiences for our KittyHawks!

Book Blitz

Altara is so excited to be participating in Book Blitz again this year! Book Blitz Jr. is a fun, interactive competition open to 4th and 5th grade students. The competition is designed to encourage students to read a variety of books over the course of the school year. Students get to help create teams of 4-5 fellow students, who work together to read 12 selected book titles. These teams then compete in a “Jeopardy Style” competition to earn points by naming the correct book title and author related to the question. Teams compete at the school level, and the winning team will advance to the district competition where they compete against teams from other schools. Our Book Blitz groups will be meeting during lunch once a month. Sign up by October 9th to be on the list for our orientation meeting on October 14th.

Choose Kindness

We are on the lookout for any acts of kindness at Altara.  Here are some examples of kindness happening at our school these past few weeks.  We have the best students!

Matthew Fankhauser (2nd grade) Matthew is kind to everyone but still stays focused on his work!

Ivy Anderson (kindergarten) Ivy shows kindness in so many ways! A friend didn’t get a high five during Morning Meeting & she ran right over to give them a high five! Way to go, Ivy!

Emran Ahadi (2nd grade) Emran put away a student’s tote for them while they were out of class.

Levi Glad (kindergarten) Levi has been extra kind and helpful during clean up time!! He helps put away toys and supplies in places he didn’t play during oral language block.

Olivia Wimmer (kindergarten) Olivia chooses kindness in so many ways. She always shares her things & helps others in need. Way to go, Olivia!

Lulu Tonks (2nd grade) Lulu has been super helpful with the students at her table – Gracias, Lulu!
