💙 Altara Elementary School Fundraiser

We’re excited to announce our annual School Fun Run on October 9th to help raise funds for upcoming field trips school-wide!

Every dollar/100% of the proceeds goes to our school and towards making field trips fun and memorable for our students.  Our goal is to raise $10,000!

Please look for the fundraiser envelope and information coming home with your student this week.

🚲 🛼 Walk Your Wheels (Bikes, Scooters, Rollerblades, Roller Shoes, etc.) 🚲 🛼   We appreciate your support in reminding students to “walk their wheels” while on school grounds and when using crosswalks or crossing streets near the school. This includes bikes, scooters, rollerblades, roller shoes, and similar items. Once students have safely left school property and have more adequate space, they are welcome to ride.

Student safety is always our top priority. We have recently observed situations that could have resulted in serious injury. With children, adults, and vehicles constantly moving through the parking lot and crosswalk areas, it can be difficult for drivers and pedestrians to see students who are riding quickly through these spaces. Walking wheels in these areas helps prevent accidents and keeps everyone safe.   Thank you for your continued partnership and support in reinforcing these expectations.

🐕 Reminder: Animals on School Property 🐕

For the safety of our students and staff, animals are not permitted on school property. This does not apply to service dogs that are individually trained to perform tasks directly related to a person’s disability. Emotional support animals, pets, and other animals are not considered service animals and may not be brought onto school property. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us maintain a safe school environment for our students and school community.
