🚲 🛼 Walk Your Wheels (Bikes, Scooters, Rollerblades, Roller Shoes, etc.) 🚲 🛼

We appreciate your support in reminding students to “walk their wheels” while on school grounds and when using crosswalks or crossing streets near the school. This includes bikes, scooters, rollerblades, roller shoes, and similar items. Once students have safely left school property and have more adequate space, they are welcome to ride.

Student safety is always our top priority. We have recently observed situations that could have resulted in serious injury. With children, adults, and vehicles constantly moving through the parking lot and crosswalk areas, it can be difficult for drivers and pedestrians to see students who are riding quickly through these spaces. Walking wheels in these areas helps prevent accidents and keeps everyone safe.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support in reinforcing these expectations.

Message from Altara Administration Team:

As we wrap up another wonderful school year, we want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for your continued support, partnership, and trust in your child’s education. Your involvement, encouragement, and collaboration make such a difference in the success of our students and our entire school community.

We would also like to give an extra special shout-out to our incredible PTA and WATCH D.O.G.S. volunteers for your priceless efforts, time, dedication, and service throughout the year. Whether you volunteered at events, supported classrooms, helped behind the scenes, or simply showed up for our students and staff, your impact has not gone unnoticed.

Altara is truly lucky to have the very best community. Thank you for helping make our school such a special place for students to learn, grow, and thrive.

With much gratitude,
Altara Administration Team, Julie Fielding & Sara Caldwell

Message from our PTA President, Stacy Jessop:

As another school year comes to a close, on behalf of the PTA I would like to sincerely thank our incredible school community for your continued support, volunteer hours, donations, and generosity throughout the year. The programs, activities, class parties, teacher support, and events sponsored by the PTA simply would not be possible without you. Your willingness to give your time, talents, and support has helped make this school year so special for our students, teachers, and staff.

As my two-year term as PTA President comes to an end, I want to personally thank this community for the opportunity to serve. It has truly been such a rewarding experience getting to know so many wonderful families, working alongside amazing volunteers, and building friendships that I know will last long beyond my time on the board. I will always be grateful for the support, kindness, and sense of community that makes Altara such a special place.

We are excited to welcome our incoming PTA board for next year: Caroline Carlson as President, Taelor Bogg as President-Elect, Jackie Tanner as Secretary, and Kara Malquist as Treasurer. I know they will continue to do amazing things for our school and community.

Have a great summer!

Stacy Jessop – PTA President

Back-to-School Registration Opens Aug. 3 — Take a Minute to Prepare Now

Save the date! Back-to-school registration for the 2026–2027 school year will open on Monday, August 3, 2026. This year, we’re introducing an upgraded version of our student information system, Skyward Qmlativ, designed with a more modern look, improved navigation, and a more intuitive, user-friendly experience to make registration and access to student information easier. Families will continue to log in through the same, secure Family Access they’ve used in the past.

What you can do now to prepare:

  • Please take a moment to make sure you know your Family Access username and password. Having your login information ready will help ensure a smooth and quick registration process on Aug. 3.
  • If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it now through this link: Forgotten Username/Password Assistance
  • If you need assistance, contact your school or the Canyons Help Desk at 801-826-5544.

Soon, we’ll be sharing helpful resources, including step-by-step guides and videos, to walk families through the updated system. Thank you for taking a few minutes now to be ready for registration day.
