4. Spring 2025 Data
a. Current goals: 80% of our students will be proficient in reading and math by May of 2026 or make typical or better progress using Acadience data. School Climate goal: By May of 2026, Altara will achieve a 4:1 positive to corrective ratio in 90% of the classrooms.

i. Reading goal missed by 1%, final data is at 79%
ii. Math goal overachieved by 1%, final data is at 81%
iii. School climate goal last year was met at 100% of classrooms doing morning meeting and thrive time.
5. Discuss Digital Citizenship- Presentation by Michelle Veazie
a. Action item
i. Watch video that will be sent out to us. Digital Citizenship video
b. Things required at our school
i. Each student should have 3 lessons on digital citizenship. These will be implemented in thrive time and library and STEM.
ii. October 13-17 Digital Citizenship week
1. Announcements in the morning
2. Added information into classroom morning meetings
iii. There will be a teacher training at a faculty training
iv. Posters about digital citizenship in classrooms
v. Digital citizenship “booth” or poster at the STEAM night in January
vi. Messages to parents in Monday Minute emails once a month
vii. K-2 have 30 minutes on devices, older grades have a little more time on their devices.
viii. We are considered a commonsense approved school
c. These are the items that will be put into our digital citizenship plan
6. School Happenings
a. Attendance
i. Chronically absent student have a high chance of failing and getting behind based on data
ii. Attendance plan
1. Students will get rock solid tickets for attendance as a class and grade recognition
2. Check in with chronically absent student’s parents
3. District will also be starting an attendance campaign
iii. Discussion about if we should start at 100% or start at 95 or so? 1. Decided to make term goal based on historical data
b. Emergency Drills
i. We will hold monthly drills but can’t announce when they are. We can let parents know which drill it will be for the month.
c. 24 FTE in our building currently and we are in good shape of keeping them as of now. They won’t pull after October 1
d. Fun Run
i. PTA wants to put on a fun run.We are allowed to do 1 for the
school and 1 for the PTA to help fund fieldtrips.
