I hope you enjoyed spring break last week! We are excited for good weather and enjoying recesses outside.
Earth Week
Next week our school is celebrating Earth Week. Monday will focus on being idle free. Tuesday’s focus is recycling. On Wednesday, it’s water conservation, and we’d love our students to wear blue that day. Thursday is Clean Up the Community and Friday is Love Plants! Students are encouraged to wear green that day. Thanks Mr. Shiring, our dance teacher, for sponsoring this week!
Hello from the PTA!
It’s here! Our Spring “Altara Rocks” Fundraiser is upon us! Please watch for envelopes to come home with your student this week. The money collected during this fundraiser will be used to not only support our amazing teachers, but also to help our awesome students! Funds raised will go toward teacher grants, Watch DOGS, class parties, field trips, Teacher Appreciation Week, Red and White Ribbon Week, NOVA, Birthday Club, student gifts, and so much more! We will be having our community event on April 26 with food trucks, photo ops, a silent auction, and our favorite DJ – MR. LOWE!! Please consider donating to help support our amazing school. And we are still collecting donations for the silent auction, so if you have goods or services you’d like to donate, please reach out to Chelsea Osborne (osborne.chelsea@gmail.com).

May 23rd—Last day of school for kindergarten students
May 30th—Last day of school for 1st-5th grades. School will dismiss at 12:25 and no meals will be served that day.
