I have been with Altara going on my 12th year. Started with Mr. Jameson as a Lunch Clerk and moved to teaching PE for 9 years; thanks to Nicole Svee-Magann. I am also a Crossing Guard for Altara thru Sandy City Police Department; going on 11 years with that position. I grew up in Midvale and Fairview; which I call my home town. Rode horse and was involved in the Horse shows and rodeos. As a kid I caught the grease pig in the kid rodeo and was the fastest girl in elementary. When I was 18 I was in the first Demolition Derby in Fairview that my uncle Robert started. I was able to use the family’s old station wagon and painted it a purple/pink with the words…”Pink Panther Strikes again!” and “LEAN-MEAN-Derby Queen”. I have always loved animals and had many growing up; dogs, cats, chickens, pigs, goats, ponies, horses, ferrets, birds and hamsters. I currently have 3 dogs and 2 cats. You may see me out walking my dogs and one of my cats. My Bulldog Bear comes to my crossing with me in the mornings, watching all the kids and crazy traffic. I have been married to a wonderful man for almost 23 years. I have 2 daughters: one 22 and the other 17. I am truly blessed at home with my family and here with my Altara family. 🙂
