Here are some examples of kindness happening at our school these past couple of weeks. We have the best students! Ian Gumbo (2nd grade) Ian is so good about including so many students. He’s a good partner and he can look out for those around him. Tabitha Shern (4th grade) Always helps her partner when they don’t understand something and encourages them to work harder. Remie Carothers (1st grade) Remie regularly offers to help her classmates organize their desks, clean up a mess, and comfort them when they are sad. Samuel Jimenez (5th grade) You make sure your classmates feel heard by paying full attention when they speak and responding thoughtfully. Your respect and kindness towards others encourage a positive and respectful environment in our class. Nixon Bagley (kindergarten) Nixon is always looking for ways to be kind! He helped clean up a big mess in the art area without being asked! 🙂 Jocelyn Jaffa (Dahlmeier) JoJo is such a kind friend! She loves to help others and always makes kind choices. Maya Okelberry (kindergarten) Every time I ask someone to help me clean up…Maya jumps right up and starts cleaning. Eddie Clyde (kindergarten) Eddie is always looking for ways to cheer up people. His smile brightens the room. He is kind by showing interest in others and how they are doing. 🙂 School Website: https://altara.canyonsdistrict.org/ Instagram: altaraelementary Parent Volunteer application link: https://www.canyonsdistrict.org/depts/external-relations/volunteer/ Upcoming Dates Nov. 19th—1st-5th grade Field Trip to Alta High School to watch the musical “Matilda” Nov. 21st—PTA Spirit Night; Pier 49 Pizza; 11-9 all day Nov. 27-29—Thanksgiving Break; No school Dec. 10th—Altara School Choir Concert; 7:00 pm for families Dec. 17th—Dual Immersion program for parents; 9:15 (Watch for more details as we will be doing two performances to have space for everyone) Dec. 20th—Kindergarten program for parents; 8:45 Have a great day!
