Spanish Dual Language Immersion School

Monday Minute 2.24.25

Dear Parents,

I want to give a shout out to our PTA and community for setting up meals for our conference nights that go quite late.  We appreciate all who have donated their time, money, and cooking skills to support our staff!

Be sure to check the school dates for this week.  Because of conferences, there is no school on Friday.  Thursday is an early out day, and school dismisses at 1:25.

New Staff

We have hired a new teacher for our 5th grade Spanish classes.  Sophia Timmreck will start on Wednesday.  She was born and raised in Columbia and is so excited to join the Altara team.  We are happy to welcome her to our school!

Choose Kindness

We are on the lookout for any acts of kindness at Altara.

Koani Casson (kindergarten) Koani is always looking for ways to be kind. He loves to share! He shared one of his favorite pop-its!

Vicki Henkel (kindergarten) Vicki shows kindness every day! Recently, she let another friend borrow a crayon when they didn’t have that color! How nice!

Aurea Barranon (5th grade) Aurea has shown kindness by making sure everyone is included during inside recess.

Max Baird (5th grade) Max has been working extra hard lately, especially with partners. He’s always willing to move in order to be a great partner.

Ashlyn Castillo (1st grade) Ashlyn is so helpful and kind to our school by picking up trash at recess.

Raegan Keys (1st grade) Raegan offered her eraser to a friend who didn’t have one and even told him he could keep it.

Bode Fullmer (kindergarten) Bode often helps other students put away their iPad supplies. He is very thoughtful! 😉

DaJon Hamilton (3rd grade) DaJon was so kind! He brought extra snacks and shared with classmates who were hungry!
