Elementary-Level Chromebook Filtering and Access Options
 
Parents can decide the level of restrictions with CSD filtering system for their own child.
 
 CSD IT, ISD and administrations meet weekly to review the request about some web pages and apps can be included or not into student account.
 
Teachers were asked to eliminate Chromebook “free use” time for students.
 
Google docs, drop box, and clever will be used for media file sharing.
 
Some discussion and ideas about Chromebook usage at the Elementary school setting.
 
Would it be possible for CSD to have its own app store that holds fun and educational apps?
 
Voting for which option is better for next school year
 
OPTION 1: No change on the level of filtering in elementary level (5 votes)
OPTION 2: All elementary should have highly restrictive level of filtering (2 votes)
OPTION 3: All elementary should have highly restrictive level of filtering but parents can opt into less-restrictive filter. (0 votes)
 
 
Staffing
 
For the next school year, 4th and 5th grade will have a new DLI teacher.
Julie asked the state to help with the selection of possible international candidates.
 
There will be a new resource teacher.
We will have an Assistant principal for the next school year. Her role is not fully defined yet, but she will be in charge of most behavior and attendance.

School Choir performance on April 22nd & 23rd
2nd and 3rd grade are having their grade program in May
