Dear Parents,
Thank you to all the parents who came to conferences last week. We appreciate you! We also appreciate the PTA and volunteers who helped feed our teachers for both nights of conferences. Thank you!
Emergency drill
On Wednesday we will be practicing another emergency drill. This one is called Secure. We practice this drill for any problem that might be occurring outside our building, and we want to secure all our students inside. Examples might be an active police investigation in the neighborhood or a threatening dog on campus. School will continue as usual, but no one will be allowed outside the building for the short duration of the drill.
Halloween
Halloween is coming soon, and I want to remind our families that we will be having our parade outside this year. Bring your camp chair and line up on the playground. Everyone should be able to easily see our cute, costumed students. As always, we ask for no masks or pretend or real weapons as part of their costume here at school. Save those items for other celebrations. Parents are also welcome to dress up as they cheer on our students. Thanks to all our room parents who are preparing class parties for that afternoon. Be sure you have done the background check on the district website so you will be able to come volunteer.
